The rematch between Cotto and Alvarez would be interesting to all - Juan Manuel Marquez

Ex-world champion in four weight divisions Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez believes that the rematch between his compatriot Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KOs) and Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) would be interesting to fans of boxing.

Their match was held on November 21 in Las Vegas and lasted all 12 rounds. According to their results the judges gave the victory by unanimous decision to Alvarez, who became the new world champion of the WBC middleweight title.

At the same time, Marquez believes that Cotto is better to pursue a career in the first category of average weight. "I think the rematch between Cotto and Alvarez would be interesting to all fans, but let's see what Cotto thinks about it. He doesn't want to be world champion in the middleweight division. He gave up this title. I think he needs to go to 154 pounds, and get the title there".

Earlier Marquez shared his opinion about the chances of Alvarez in a potential fight with Kazakhstanis Gennady Golovkin - WBA (Super), IBO, WBC (Interim) and IBF.
